Social networking site also has reduced face to face communication with our friends and family. I'm strongly agreed about this view. People do not like to go out to interact with other people. Before the invention of these sites, people were intense to go out and meet with community, but now they sit in front of computers to communicate with others.

In fact, people who are shy in public take advantage using these sites which are not helping them to overcome their shyness. If they tried to interact with people, they might make it. But because of these sites, they do not even try to do it. Thus social networking sites make people unsocial and socially reluctant. How to overcome this problem? For me, people need to turn off their computers, and learn to communicate with one another face-to-face.

  

 "One study published over a decade ago (Kraut, 1998) showed that, in a study of 73 families who used the Internet for communication, greater use of the Internet was associated with declines in communication between family members, declines in the size of their social circle, and increases in their levels of depression and loneliness".

THOUGHT: While I’m online through Facebook site, I’m usually not talking too much with my family members and do not listen carefully to what my mom wants to tell me. My respond is just mumbles incoherently, faking interest to the topic that she told me and not listening. My attention on that time is chatting with my friends. Sometimes my mom ask me a favor to clean the house, I’m just say i will do it after I’m finish chatting mom. Until afternoon, I’m still online and not doing the duty. My mom said to me that I cares more about my facebook and friends than other things.
